Advertising in different countries

Let’s take, for example, food advertising on the TV. Here in the United States it is usually dedicated to fast food restaurants or pizza places, sweets and candies produced here in America. We all know how bad they are for our health and physical shape, but still eat them. It simply does not matter because we are never going to decline them.

First of all, many people like to go out for dinner from time to time with their friends and loved ones, because it is a perfect opportunity to spend with them some high-quality time, without having to cook a meal.

Secondly, fast foods and restaurants are indispensable for business people who usually do not have time to drive home for lunch. Moreover, they can order some food to the office, which is, of course, very convenient. Also, there are a lot of people who do not know how to cook or just come home from work too late, they also frequently eat already prepared meals.

However, if we turn on the TV in some Asian countries with more traditional lifestyles, we probably won’t find that much fast food advertising. For example, in Chine people prefer to eat Chinese cuisine, and they are more likely to eat it at home. Going to a restaurant is a rare occasion, only in case of a great holiday. That’s why if you, for instance, need to promote a MacDonald’s restaurant, you need to think carefully, why it would be interesting for them.
